Puerto Engabao & Guayaquil

The friendly "Hostal Engabao" in Puerto Engabao,
Ecuador

First try to build stairs to Helena's Cabaña on the
second floor.

Stairs almost completed.

Full moon cooking, Puerto Engabao.

Our first beer can chicken.

Our first farewell BBQ with lots of nice people.
We returned here after my surgeries in Guayaquil,
which wasn't known yet at the time.

Part of Ecuador's core of surfing and us :)

Helena at work.

Jimmy and Milton's shaping workshop in Playas.

Our pets at Hostal Engabao

One of the cheakiest chickens I've ever met.

Andres con Puppies!

Sleepy Puerto Engabao.

A church inside a church in Engabao.

The point, Puerto Engabao.

Having fun @ the point.

Israel.

Helena.

Andy with Bottom Feeder.

Andi with his board.

Kim's new style after the accident (fin stab)
surfing at Playas. It's also thanks to this incident
that the locals are calling me "Machete Fin".

First unsuccessful period of recovery, unfortunately
after insufficient surgery in Playas.

Second period of recovery after 3 more surgeries
and several days in hospital in Guayaquil.

Mom and Bernie could have thought of a better way
of spending their holiday than hospital visits in
Guayaquil. Anyway, thanks for everything!

First look at my new behind...

Our short visit to Guayaquil after having
been in hospital for nearly a week.
Parque Bolivar, Guayaquil

Animals in Parque Historico, Guayaquil

Historical buildings were relocated from the center
of town to the Parque Historico, Guayaquil.

Taking a rest since I'm not allowed to
walk very far...

Back at Puerto Engabao, Andy enjoying the surf -
me curing the wound and getting impatient...

Hopefully back to surf by next week.
